What is Mounjaro?
Mounjaro is an injectable weight loss prescription medicine that is used alongside diet and exercise to improve blood sugar (glucose) in adults and has been proven to help people lose up to 22.5% of their body weight.

The brand name for the active ingredient tirzepatide, Mounjaro mimics the hormones GLP-1 and GIP. Mounjaro works by activating two receptors (GLP-1 and GIP) to increase the level of hormones in the body, helping you to feel fuller for longer after a meal. It is injected under the skin of the stomach, thigh, or upper arm. The starting dose is 2.5 mg once a week for four weeks, and then increases to 5 mg once a week. The dose can be increased in 2.5 mg increments every four weeks, up to a maximum of 15 mg once a week.
Mounjaro should be taken just once a week alongside a healthy diet and exercise. It has been proven to help people lose around 22.5% of their initial body weight by week 72 of treatment, at a maximum dose of 15 mg.

Mounjaro helps with weight loss by suppressing appetite and reducing cravings and works best in conjunction with a healthy diet and regular exercise. This is because your Mounjaro dosage will be increased gradually to reduce any possible side effects.
